This is probably the most I’ve ever spent on makeup, and probably the most I ever will. Like most girls I love to look nice, but I usually, but an item here and there, never all at once. Lately, I’ve just really been really getting into watching makeup tutorials and learning new things. I’ve always been pretty natural when it comes to make up, a smoky eye or bright lip is as bold as I go. I’ve never contoured or did crazy eye makeup, but I’m learning and it’s been so much fun. There are SO many beauty bloggers out there too to teach you what you need to know.
I had a list in my head of a few items that I wanted to get this year, so I went to Sephora this past weekend and tried a few things out and decided what I liked best. Here’s what I came home with!
Too Faced Cocoa Contour Chiseled to Perfection
This is the perfect all in kit you need to contour your face, especially if you’re like me and just starting out. This has always been one of my favorite brands, so I knew that the quality would be there. This is a powder contour, which, if you have light skin you’re going to want to use.
Huda Beauty Textured Shadows Palette Eye Shadow Eyeshadow Rose Gold
I’ve really been looking forward to the Kylie Jenner peach palette, which dropped yesterday and was sold out after 15 minutes. I’ve never seen it sold here, so I doubt I will be getting it anytime soon. For those who don’t know Huda is a popular beauty blogger in the Gulf. I had no idea that she even came out with this new eye palette, but luckily I was one of the first people that walked into Sephora when they opened after prayer and walked right by it.
It grabbed my attention since it looked like the one I had wanted from Kylie, but it had more shades and actually seemed better. Thankfully, I grabbed one because not long after the shelf was empty and then after I came home, I read that the world is going crazy over this, and it’s actually sold out everywhere and people are trying to buy it. I guess since Huda is in the Gulf it’s a little easier for us to buy.
I paid sr250 ($67) and people online are asking A LOT more, sorry guys, but this is an AMAZING palette and if you can grab it.
Benefit They’re Real! Mascara
This the best mascara that I’ve ever used, it makes you have lashes for days.
I have green eyes and have been wanting to try a shadow that’s the same color. This is a single shade by Sephora called luxurious boot camp. It has a sparkle to it, which I like when it comes to my shadows.
Urban Decay Naked Skin Color Correcting Fluid in Pink
Hands down, one of the best correcters that I’ve used. I bought the pink tint since those are my undertones and it brightens my eyes up so much, plus it lasts all day.
Sephora Liquid Liner
When it comes to liquid liner I always go for simple brands that draw a very thin line. This is one of the best and easiest for me to use.
Sephora Contour Eye Pencil
I chose this really pretty green (again to match my eyes) that will brighten my look when I wear simple makeup. I love to use a light brown shadow and then line one of my lids with a bright color (never both). It’s such a bright and fun look.
